This rustic and simple sanctuary in Downeast Maine sits ten minutes up the road from the ocean, the local co-op, library with high speed internet, Blue Hill mountain, and coastal trails. The peninsula sits between Acadia National Park, Deer Isle, and the Camden Hills. The main space is a simple, 600 sqft cabin that has power and running water, along with a wood stove. The bottom floor is an open layout with a kitchen, living room area, and a bathroom. There is a built in drafting table and bookshelf that overlooks a picture window, perfect for writing and illustrating. The bathroom has a sink, shower, and small washer and dryer. The upstairs is an open loft space, large enough for a bed, dresser, and desk. There is also a wooden yurt tucked in the woods, which can be used for meditative practice or a more isolated work space away from the cabin. There is a large garden shed, outhouse, compost pile (organic, pesticide free), mature apple trees, wild edibles, and garden space. This is a simple, well cared for space, with basic amenities and has been a home to those who wish to live a simple, present life. Further, those who feel comfortable living in a rural place and who enjoy navigating the consistent shifts and needs of a rural homestead. Pesticide and chemical free. Basic carpentry, garden, and land tending skills are necessary to live here.

Comments: Rustic and simple 5 acre homestead with cabin, garden, yurt, outhouse, and garden shed.
Comments: This space needs care and attention and you will be responsible for tending to seasonal tasks, such as mowing paths in the warm season and shoveling in the cold season. I'm looking for someone who cares about caring for land and place.
Comments: This is a no smoking, synthetic fragrance free, and hypoallergenic space.
I have a PO Box in town and a mailbox at the house. I'll need help checking and forwarding important mail when necessary.
There is a large plot in the middle of the meadow, along with a kitchen garden and raised beds in front of the house. There are also lots of wild edibles, mature apple trees, and compost.
Comments: I need the homestead looked after, so basic carpentry, garden, land tending, chainsaw, and rural living skills are a must. I can hire help for larger needs, but smaller tasks are best done by those who live here.
