Bright modern condo in vibrant Mill District near University and River

Faculty member (University of Minnesota) looking for someone to stay in attractive condominium in the Mill District of Minneapolis. The location is ideal, with many restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, sports venues, biking and walking trails, recreational activities, and public transportation nearby. There is a park across the street. Our home has a well-equipped kitchen, gas grill, lovely furniture and beautiful views eagles and hawks soaring over the Mississippi River. The apartment is on the 8th floor of a secure building. The condo, with 2 queen beds, can accommodate 1-4 people. Floor to ceiling windows grace the open-plan living space and the master bedroom, and give the condo a bright, airy feel. The kitchen has high quality appliances and equipment. Classic Stickley furniture provides comfort and sophistication in the living room, while a large TV (with access to many channels) and comfortable sofa in the den offer entertainment diversions. A walk-through closet separates the small master bedroom from the master bath (2 sinks; shower). A second bedroom/office has a Murphy bed that can be stored in the wall to create office space. There is a second bathroom (sink, shower, and tub) across the hall from the second bedroom. The washer and dryer are stacked in a laundry closet. The main campus of the University of Minnesota is a 15-minute walk. There are several other colleges and universities in the area that can be easily accessed by bus or light rail. The condo is also located near several large hospitals and the downtown business center. The building features a fitness center, with spin cycles, elliptical machines, weights, a rowing machine, and more. There is an outdoor pool, hot tub, and fire pit (although the pool and hot tub are closed until May). A lounge and larger "community room" can be reserved at no charge. The building is new, with solid construction. Neighbors are quiet; walls are well insulated. We have a heated parking space under the building. Tenants may store a car there for an additional fee. Most activities can be reached by walking, biking, or public transportation. Tenants can use our two bicycles (if the sizes are right). Our apartment is available as we are away on sabbatical and would be ideal for someone looking for a sabbatical home.
