Quiet and spacious private floor in a large, 3-story, Victorian house - two double rooms and a private bath/shower room with use of the rest of the house - large kitchen, two downstairs reception rooms and the garden which we (I am an artist and my husband, Sandy, is a jazz/classical musician) also use. There is lots of space for you to have privacy downstairs or to chat if we are in - whichever you prefer. We also rent out a double ensuite room sometimes (#155285) if there are more or fewer of you. Double bed and desk in each room. (Extra mattress available for young person). The front room looks onto the quiet street and the back room looks over trees and gardens. The house is in a quiet, leafy residential street in a vibrant area - Shepherd's Bush/Chiswick - near parks, the river, cafes/bars, theatre, cinemas and music venues, all in walking distance. It;s a great area for families with lots to do and our kids had a great time growing up here with lots of independence. Transport links are fantastic - two local bus lines and four tube lines into Central London and a short bus ride to Notting Hill Gate. We are near Heathrow (20 minutes with no traffic or a direct tube ride) and it is easy to get to Gatwick and all the mainline tube stations. Electric hire bikes are available in the area. Wifi and central heating. throughout house. Quiet Dyson fans in the rooms for the (very occasional) heatwave and extra heaters for cold spells (the house was built in 1870). Books, toys, art cupboard, guitar, piano, record player, tennis rackets (public tennis courts nearby). Netflix and Amazon Prime available on TV in sitting room.
