My parents were professors. I went on sabbatical with them and know how important it is to feel safe and welcomed in a new home. I built this apartment in unused space specifically to rent to academics. Housing in Berkeley and SF is notoriously expensive. I'm hoping to find visiting academics who need a friendly place to stay. Lakeshore shopping district is two blocks away. Trader Joe's, Walgreens, Peets coffee, and many nearby restaurants. Safeway and Whole Foods are also within walking distance. Lake Merritt is close by (I run around it every morning). There's a lively Farmer's Market every Saturday. Buses to San Francisco stop a couple of blocks away; the trip to the Transbay Terminal in downtown SF takes less than 30 minutes. The Berkeley campus is less than 4 miles away, an easy trip on bike, bus or electric scooter.
